Me: Africa as a continent, with an estimated population of 680 million people receives 4.5 billion $ from the US, while Israel, with a population of 6 million, receives about 3 billion. Go figure.

Guy: We like them more.

Me: If only it was reciprocal. -- And what's there for you? Diamonds? Oil? Gold? -- Oh wait... It's that BIBLE stuff, isn't it? It's all about Jesus. (I think I just go enlightened).

Use it. That woman hits the Uncanny Valley for me.

And I'm referring to the Protestants. Specifically the Bible-Thumpers, to whom the reason to support Israel is a war at the End of Days where Fundamentalism shall put its foot on Modernity's neck and those Jews who like their ethnoreligious identity will all burn while Jews that become good WASPs will live forever in heaven.

That and the Mr. Scotty upstairs is going to beam them up so they get to fulfill the words of a Church Father whom they've never heard of but whose sentiment they'd likely agree with that watching the heathens burn is the reward of the Faithful.

As someone that accepts evolution and much of modernity in my day-to-day life, I'm one of the heathens to them.

I mainly do because people in the Deep South think the "decadence" of society is the end of days. My response is usually a description of 100 Days of Sodom and telling them that was in the Good Old Days and nothing's changed since.
