There already is a crisis in America's economy and no Democrat can save America from it. Moreover, if you had looked more closely on Obama's economic program, there is a disaster hidden in it. And lastly, if you look at the national polls which compare McCain to either Democratic candidate, they are almost even and it is not clear at all who will win. Do not under-estimate the power of the Republican electorate, especially from the US heartland and the Evangelical Belt, who would vote for any Republican candidate, regardless who he is. And McCain is not even truly "Republican" according to the standards of the hardcore Republican electorate! He is no Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney. Many moderates favour McCain over the Democratic candidates.

But this wasn't my idea at all. The guy who wrote this proposal was implying that if Obama gives 4 more year to the Republicans, it would be enough for the people to hate them forever, and in the next election he would easily win. I personally doubt it. If not fo anything else, maybe just because there will not be anything of America left after 4 years of McCain, for Obama or anyone else to inherit ;-)
