I would've laughed at this, if it wasn't so enraging...

You know...because in The States it's almost as if no one really knows what the job/role of the government is. All sides are still trying (in my eyes) to decided the extent of government's role in society.

Bickering about the role of government is sooo First-World problem! You're fortunate that you can afford to spend your time bickering about it, rather than killing each other.
