Poor Paul.

Isn't it amusing that not even one major political figure (save for the White House) ever thought of defending Paul Wolfowitz in the scandal? They all want him out. This must be showing something about his appointment by the White House. Because it was them who appointed him a World Bank director, in order to keep their financial grip on the world and avoid paying back the immense - and ever increasing - international debt of America. And now even his lover has turned against him, presenting poor Paul as the ultimate villain.

But the WB director IS nominated by the US president. Thats a rule.
And WB has hardly anything to do with the financial control of the world. Its (at least officially) meant to fight poverty.

OK. By the way, the European Union decided to stop funding the World Bank because of the scandal.
