 New party unveils its leaders
The newly formed African People's Convention (APC) was set to announce its national leadership in Bloemfontein on Sunday afternoon, the SABC reported.

This would include the party leader, secretary-general and other office bearers.

Moshoeshoe Likotsi, the APC's Free State co-ordinator, said the party would name its candidates for the upcoming by-elections and announce strategies for the way forward.

The APC gained 36 councillors during the recent floor-crossing window period. Many of them came from the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC), the broadcaster said. - Sapa
