Reminds me of the clip I saw about Stalin’s death with Steve Buscemi….how did Litwin miss this?

I heard it happened when he was going all Mythbusters and trying to see if the Catherine the Great and the horse thing could really work.

I heard the result was nay....

Putin’s Development Plan for Siberia Driven by Fears of Separatism But May Spark More

Vladimir Putin’s plan to move several ministries from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk and to launch a massive investment program there reflects fears in the Kremlin that separatist attitudes in Russia east of the Urals are growing and that only such steps have the potential to quiet them, according to Anton Chablin.

In a commentary on the Kavpolit.com portal this week, the Russian analyst says that it remains unclear whether the president’s plan will have that effect or whether having won these concessions from the center, people in Siberia and the Far East will demand even more in the future.

Pentagon 2008 study claims Putin has Asperger's syndrome

A study from a Pentagon think tank theorizes that Russian President Vladimir Putin has Asperger's syndrome, "an autistic disorder which affects all of his decisions," according to the 2008 report obtained by USA TODAY.

Putin's "neurological development was significantly interrupted in infancy," wrote Brenda Connors, an expert in movement pattern analysis at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, R.I. Studies of his movement, Connors wrote, reveal "that the Russian President carries a neurological abnormality."

Russian artists in holy water attack on Lenin mausoleum

Two Russian artists have been arrested after throwing holy water and shouting "rise up and leave" at the mausoleum containing Vladimir Lenin's tomb.

A video of Monday's incident shows the men breaching a barrier to access the building in Moscow's Red Square before dowsing one of its walls with water.

Seconds later, police officers intervene and lead the two men to a nearby police vehicle.

They could be held for up to 15 days for disorderly conduct, reports say.

Kremlin: Satellite Images of Russian Troops From 'Computer Games'

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed Friday that NATO satellite pictures showing Russian military involvement in Ukraine had "turned out to be from computer games." Speaking on Russia 24 television, Lavrov said that the West had produced "no facts" to support its accusations that separatists in eastern Ukraine had been joined by Russian forces.

Ukrainian military shell downtown Slavyansk in east Ukraine

Kiev-controlled military units have briefly shelled the center of the city of Slavyansk in eastern Ukraine from artillery guns, a spokeswoman for people’s mayor of Slavyansk Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, Stella Khorosheva, said Saturday.

On the night from May 29 to 30, a children’s hospital came under fire from the Ukrainian military. A children’s clinic was also damaged. A militia spokesman said children were inside but they were unharmed. The chief physician of the hospital said “a wall was partly destroyed, over 100 windows were smashed.”

On May 28, as a result of artillery shelling of Artema, a residential district in Slavyansk, a shell broke through the roof of a school. Children and teachers hid in the basement and were unhurt. Four people were killed when the same area was shelled on May 27.

Meanwhile, the totally-non-chessplayer Vova has launched his Eurasian project. After the recent mega energy deal with China, I'm sure we'll be scrambling to find all sorts of explanations how this isn't a "good enough" development for him. But, you see, this Eurasian Union is not exactly like that Soviet Union. Ergo, Putin sucks!
