Eight Nobel peace laureates have written on open letter to the Chinese president demanding action to end "atrocities" in Sudan, amid rising concern at Beijing's ties with the African regime.
How irrelevant is that!? WTF. Why China? Oh, it's because of the Olympics, stupid! I wonder what influence does China have on the Sudanese "regime". And why not boycott the European soccer tournament which starts this summer in Austria/Switzerland? Austria and Switzerland should surely take action to end atrocities in Sudan, right? But noone's talking about boycotts of Austria and Switzerland. Why? I see... they don't speak Chinese! And they're quite friendly to those who are pulling the strings. By the way, there are no celebrities of Chinese origin taking part in the boycott...
They could've just stated the awful Chinese record in human rights as a reason, this way they'd have sounded a bit less stupid. But then, we could argue about the definition of "human rights violation" in many ways... some of which would include the very country of origin of most of these dumbheads.
