Hmmmm....

I rarely fill this space with personal stuff but this time I couldn't resist. I'm pissed off. Extremely. But OK, the good news first. I'm getting married on July 26th! Yay! Karen and I have been preparing for this moment for half a decade. It is supposed to be the greatest moment in my life, and so it will be. My dad arrived from Holland a week ago - his first trip to SA for years (I've explained this before). He will stay here for a whole month. The rest of my family and some friends will arrive at the end of this week. The wedding will be in Durban (Karen is half Malay and her family lives there). Then we'll make a honeymoon trip to Asia - first Singapore and Johor, then mainly China (yes, exactly at the time of the Olympics!)

So far so good. But the whole world seems to be stumbling around me. Can someone answer three simple questions for me? Please?

- Why the boy whom I assisted to find a job last week, died two days ago - was it AIDS, or was he shot!?!?!? I still have to find out. Right now I feel so helpless about this.
- When will my fiancee's best friend be finally able to see her parents who live across the border in Zimbabwe?? I feel so desperate about this.
- Who will stop the latest invention of the industrious robbers around my province who blew up a number of ATMs, the latest one yesterday just two blocks from home!? It's a miracle that noone has died yet. I feel so angry about this.

Sorry, I'm asking rhetoric questions...

But it'll be a great month, nevertheless...
