A couple of snippets from recent convos
Sep. 25th, 2011 12:20 am#1. Maybe the Koch brothers would be so kind to invest some of their money and purchase a large plot of land somewhere in Iowa, and donate it for an experimentary libertarian commune? Then if it works fine, they expand? Would be the perfect PR for libertarianism.
Something like Orania here. Some of my fellow Afrikaner still believe they should live separated from the rest, so they've closed themselves inside a sort of a modern-time bantustan. The irony is kinda killing me, but still they seem to enjoy living in the 18th century, so who am I to judge?
#2. So...in recent GOP debates we've had:
1) Members of the audience cheering Governor Perry's execution record (don't care where you stand on the issue -- a level of decorum higher than a High School Pep Rally is called for)
2) An audience member shouting out that man without insurance should be allowed to die
3) Audience members jeering a gay soldier serving in a war zone.
The Republican field is having great difficulty being more outrageous than their on air supporters -- and this is with Rep. Bachmann joining the ranks of anti-vaccine woo.
I told you! There'll be huuuge lulz in this freak show. And this is only the beginning! Someone should probably start compiling a collection of these freak moments.
