Man crushed to death by giant John Paul II crucifix

An Italian man has been crushed to death by a giant crucifix honouring John Paul II that collapsed during a ceremony ahead of the late pope's canonisation.

Apparently, someone up there is playing dirty jokes with this Pope. Maybe the gods are not particularly fond of his bleeding-heart liberal hippie stances, mhmmm?
