There are a dozen or so of these things scattered through the mountains. They probably figure for every one they lose to rational thought, they get three good soldiers for christ.
Well when I said "Mountains' i meant immediate region.
I'll be riding through the mountains and a 'camp for Christian youth' compound will appear out of nowhere.
I know of about 3 within a half hour drive of here (in the mountains a half hour does not get you far). They are all very remote. One is on a mountain top.
I'll stop one day and snap some photos but it looks like it is built to keep people in rather than people out.
LOL. Well surprisingly no. I mean they do have letterboard signs, but they are not that humorous or controversial.
The creepy ones are the residences who have 'campaign outdoor style' signs that have the 10 commandments or "pray for America it is our only hope" woe is us style messages.
I am going to start taking my camera on rides, but according to this database there are over 100 churches within a 5 mile radius of my neighborhood.
