Didn't he already referee the semi-final? Didn't the SA fans oppose (even start a petition against) his appointment to the WAL-RSA semi? Is the RWC joking around with us at this point!?

He was fine in the semi. But the major issue is, he is not consistent, one game he officiates great and the next one he could be terrible, hope I am wrong. I am more worried about that Poite as a assistant referee this weekend. Poite is the one who, in the opening game, should have pointed out Joe Moody's elbow on the ground in every scrum when Garces was on the other side...

Owens is injured. Otherwise he would have been the referee in the final.

Nigel Owens is injured? That's the only reason he is not refereeing the final, IMO.

In my opinion, Wayne Barnes is better than Garces... but, Barnes is from England.

The other referee I like, is Angus Gardner. But, he doesn't have enough experience I suppose.
