So, is this "research" connected in any way to this arrest whatsoever? Or it's just a coincidence?

I know what you'll say. That's some more propaganda by the Putin-controlled Russian media. So be it.

I'll just mention that Kuchins works for CSIS, and the CSIS board  of trustees includes such honorable names as Kissinger, Brzezinski, Cohen and Scowcroft, some of whom are, I'll use the mild term, not-in-love-with Russia (to say the least). You know, the same democracy-loving Kissinger who was so fond of Pinochet and said about the Chileans that "the issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves"; and the same freedom-loving Brzezinski who wrote a book stipulating how Russia should be rounded, suffocated, chopped and stampeded by the boots of Western Freedom and Democracy. For the good of the "American way of life".

Interesting research by the way. It was called just futurology. Yes, keep on dreaming of another Gorbachev. Or why not a Berezovsky in the president's seat in Kremlin with Khodorkovsky as his PM? Allilujah!
