Dorothy Masuka & friends will perform tonight in my very own neighborhood, Rosebank. Just a few blocks away from my home. Needless to say, I'll be on the front rows with Karen. It'll be a magical evening, I'm sure. The legendary Zimbabwean diva Dorothy Masuka was signed to the Troubadour record label when she was 16. She is also an acclaimed songwriter, best known for Hamba Nontsokolo and Dr Malan, which was banned during apartheid. She's 74 now, but she is still going strong and will share the stage tonight with famous friends and huge SA legends like Hugh Masekela, Abigail Kubeka and Sibongile Khumalo.

Hugh Masekela is my all time favourite. No artist presents the modern feel of the country better than he does.
