mahnmut: (This makes me sooo sad...)

Insightfully prophetic or universally valid for all times? Ten Years After (thus named because the band was formed 10 years after the end of conscription in UK) never stop sounding up-to-date. They were a huge player in the late 60s and 70s. But they still sound killer today, don't they?

Just listen to the words. Sounds like they knew what the future held. Or the worse possible explanation is that things have barely changed since their time - which doesn't sound very encouraging, if you ask me.

One thing has changed though. People were much more awaken then, than they are now. Ironically, in today's world of super-information and hyper-modern communication technologies, we're much more asleep, narrow-minded, more brainwashed than we ever were; and much more isolated too.

Sadly, such music is not made today.

Respect, TYA!

They say lots of things with few words. Sure they sound cliche now, but then they probably didnt. That said, more could be wanted from the lyrics.

The solo is wicked though!
