Well, color me surprised. Someone is being deluded again - as always. But the point is, ever notice the difference between this comment and this one / this one / this one / this one and even this? We say yeah yeah ok fine, it's all birds and roses, but then we go as usual, don't we? Just can't resist, can we?

Internet is srs bzns. But only a few excel at it. The rest of us are just amateurs.

For me such responses are sign of weakness of some sort.
And colour me surprised that my bro displayed his nerdiness again.

I think its the fact that people could have the most convincing, evidence response in the world and it will never, ever, ever matter.

I didn't see anyone even trying to present any evidence supported responses, that part seemed to be skipped and we went directly to having laughs at the other guy.

People have tried and tried, and tried. We know these cell mates all too well. :P They're skipping because we know that part already.

I generally stay out of the global warming debate (or whatever that is) because, quite frankly, I don't know enough about it to make a meaningful contribution.

But "there's no discussion to be had! Idiot." tends to have the opposite effect intended. At least for me.

To me I think that when they bring up "What if it isn't anthropogenic" that's nothing but a red herring. The planet warming up will cause mass havoc regardless of the cause and burying heads in the sand does nothing to mitigate that fact.

I didn't elevate the discussion but to me that "head in the sand" image should be the official logo for deniers. The sheer amount of willful misinformation that gets spread about global warming gets to me more than most topics.

Well I'd love a hundred times more if you said "The sheer amount of willful misinformation that gets spread about global warming gets to me more than most topics" - as opposed to - "Here's a pic, go figure". But that may be just me.

By the way you're still a mod there, aren't you? ;-)

Last I checked, yep. I've been trying to interfere more lately but it's falling on deaf ears. I think if I were to start suspending people for every comment that doesn't add anything to the discussion... well, things would get quieter I suppose. :P

btw it's not like you've never trolled anyone there so not sure why suddenly it's become a problem to you. Politics inspires passions and it's easy to get carried away, that's just human nature.

I daresay I can sense when my trolling becomes irritating to the other one, especially when they tell me so. But yeah, that's politics I guess. And no, the moment you start suspending people for not adding anything to the discussion you're the next Doc_Neuro and I'm out. :-P
