"No problem, it's far enough"
Jan. 19th, 2007 10:14 amThis guy really seems to fail to grasp the real magnitude and nature of the problem, doesn't he? It's an interesting point of view, at first sight: global warming is good, we don't feel so cold any more, it's good to have crops in winter too, and to pay less for heating.
But...
Global warming doesn't work this way dude. It's not like a hot-water tap, which you can shut and open at will
And, reading this, I'm convinced once more that the problem cannot be tackled while it remains on the level of partisan agendas
It all reminds me of that movie, where those guys were seeing smoke starting to come from the volcano, but they said "No problem. It's far enough" and they stayed at the party. An hour later, they were swept away by the lava along with the whole party hall.
