Maybe they're losing their touch. Despite their best media-spin efforts, George W. Bush's handlers couldn't prevent news outlets in the U.S. and overseas from immediately seeing through the dubious numbers in the proposed 2008 federal budget their man sent to Congress yesterday. A Swiss-television news report nailed it - the essence and inevitable effect of the debt-deepening requests Bush put forth. Its headline: "More weapons, less medicine." (Schweizer Fernsehen)
