Shredding the gnar

Soooo, I'm back from the mountains. It was a splendid white week in Tiffindell. Actually Karen and I spent a day down in Umtata. Then during the weekend we were joined by 3 friends from Joburg and also Kol from CT. I practiced snow-boarding intensively and I think I became pretty good in free riding! :-)

Karen preferred the traditional skiing. She's damn good! I'm so jealous...

The next few days were a bit lazier, then there was the downslope skiing competition. It was fun. The atmosphere was very similar to the Alps (I've been there just once). Actually I think it was way better than the Alps because the weather is almost always so sunny yet snowy in Drakensberg at this time of the year.

Yesterday we returned home via KZN. It's amazing what a difference there is between the high mountain and the lowlands.

Now I'm hoping to spend a quiet weekend in Pretoria, and then I'm afraid my holidays are over. Back to work, yeah...
