Chimpanzees run loose in Kansas City Zoo after crafting ladder out of tree branch

Chimpanzees were on the loose at the Kansas City Zoo Thursday after skillfully scaling the walls of their enclosure in a scene no doubt reminiscent of one from the film, “Planet of the Apes.”
The 202-acre zoo promptly went into a "Code Red" situation once staff realized seven of their exhibit's 12 chimps made it onto the wall around 4 p.m. CDT.
