Artificial Intelligence may take over World in Next 100 Years: Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking, one of the most famous physicists and cosmologists in the world, has warned that artificial intelligence will one day take over the world. Hawking said humans will become so vulnerable to artificial intelligence that their survival would be at stake.

In a recent conference, Hawking said that robots and artificial intelligence could conquer humanity in the next 100 years. While speaking at the Zeitgeist conference held in London, Hawking said that humans need to understand that their future is going in robotics hands of artificial intelligence with advancements being made every day.

“One can imagine such technology outsmarting financial markets, out-inventing human researchers, out-manipulating human leaders, and developing weapons we cannot even understand. Whereas the short-term impact of AI depends on who controls it, the long-term impact depends on whether it can be controlled at all”, he continued.
