The new Tzar - are you surprised?
Nov. 26th, 2007 08:05 pmPutin Says US Meddling in Russia Vote
President Vladimir V. Putin today accused the United States of trying to taint the legitimacy of upcoming Russian parliamentary elections by pressing a group of prominent independent election observers to abandon their attempts to monitor the campaign.
What "legitimacy", dear Vladimir Vladimirovich!? You're going to change the very fabric of Russian politics in order to make it match your plans for becoming the next Stalin... And then, comrade, you're talking about legitimacy? WTF.
It's true that the Americans would do their best to make your life miserable, didn't you know that? But isn't that what you'd do too, if you had the chance? So stop whining and just do your thing, Comrade.
Whether Russia and the Russians actually do want a real democracy which they're not used to and which they would find hard to manage due to a lack of experience and motivation - or they prefer the easier way, i.e. having a new totalitarian ruler - is another story. History tells us that they know nothing better than the latter. And this time again, they prefer... no, I mean they insist to have a Tzar-like figure "uniting" the nation in "difficult times" and ruling with a firm hand (iron fist?) It's a national tradition, just like morning tea from the samovar and bottoms-up in the evening. Davay do dna, blyad!
And I think the Washington Hawks could take a lesson or two from Comrade Putin to see how these things are done... Politics is not for dumb monkeys.
Ps. ...So what about those prominent "independent" election observers?
(It's a pity the Russians don't have Diebold. Comrade wouldn't need to make this funny president's party, or try to persuade anyone to vote for him anyway).

"Yes", the machine responded.
"Will America exist after that?"
"Yes", the machine responded.
"Will my family be alive?"
"Yes", the machine responded.
"Will i be alive?"
"Yes", the machine responded.
Then Bill decided to make a joke:
"How much will a Coke cost then?"
"Three Rubles", the machine responded.
