Wow, isn't the gun control (or rather, the lack thereof) like in the good old Wild Wild West times? But, as nearly all presidential candidates (especially Republicans) have said, Guns are part of the American way of life, it's more like a tradition, one of those things that make us American (periphrase). Interesting point of view... if giving guns into the hands of teenagers is what makes you American, then I don't see much difference with the terrible criminal situation here in SA.
I often hear from foreigners, many of whom Americans: But SA is so unsafe a place! Look at all the crime, and such... Well, next time you try to preach to me about crime, think about the above.
