And the media is just feeding the frenzy. Someone wants McCain in office because he's the best shot they have now of keeping the current power structure so perfectly intact, now that Hillary isn't such a clear winner. That's what I suspect.
As I've said elsewhere, the media only want sensations that are easy to sell, yet temporarily digestible. They raise tv ratings and sell more newspaper copies, and tend to be forgotten in less than 3 days. That's what all the media frenzy is about. And all candidates ought to comply, otherwise they'll repeat Ron Paul's fate (and Rudy Giuliani's).
Indeed, for the post part, the general outlook on Obama and Hillary (by the men and women of the U.S. military) is that neither is capable of running our Military operations. For whatever reasons, McCain is looked upon as a highly capable individual in this realm.
But, but... How is GWB running the military? What's all this hysteria about a commander-in-chief? A President may be a commander-in-chief, but he/she doesn't run the military. There's a whole institution which runs the military, and it's based in a big house with five walls. Have you just bought the election propaganda? Huh.
