Gay Iranian Fights For Asylum In Europe
19-Year-Old Man's Plea Initially Rejected By U.K., Says Boyfriend Executed In Iran
The Netherlands' highest court rejected a gay Iranian asylum seeker's last-ditch bid to avoid deportation to Britain, where he fears authorities will send him back to Tehran and possible execution.
In a ruling published on its Web site Tuesday, the Council of State said Britain is responsible for Mehdi Kazemi's case, because it was there that the 19-year-old first applied for asylum.
Gay rights campaigner Rene van Soeren said Kazemi's Dutch lawyer was considering an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. The lawyer, Borg Palm, did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
Boris van der Ham, a lawmaker who has taken up Kazemi's cause, has tabled questions in Parliament asking the junior minister for immigration, Nebahat Albayrak, to lobby British authorities on Kazemi's behalf.
Albayrak should either urge Britain not to send Kazemi back to Iran or offer him asylum in the Netherlands, Van der Ham said in a telephone interview. ...

Date: 2008-03-13 06:41 pm (UTC)How can a little teenager rape a little child unless in a corrupted community !
They are punishing a little teenager for their mistakes, for father's and mother's mistakes.
I mean Oh my god, don't they take a moment to advice him at least or tell him that in their belief he did mistake and shouldn't do it again this is the least they should have done!
I mean even if they say homosexuality is a sin, he is still a young boy, How would he know about it, he is the victim
Iran have men who are gay and have relationships with secrecy and care from authorities and as such a little boy as he is he couldn't even take care from their vile hands
this is vile, this is against any religion and any belief, I am not sure that there is any language in the world capable of cursing such a crime
even if they say he is criminal ( and this is a large point of debate!) how can a little child make a crime unless the community is totally criminals
Oh my god, How can they sleep, Where are you god, maybe he left Iran and the middle east years ago!
this is indescribable and No god ask for that,
I am sure Europe won't get the other boy back in this big Holocaust denying hell!
just looking in the picture makes me sick , I mean that man putting the rope on a child. can't he say that his neck is very small and tiny, didn't that tiny body remind him of his son, niece or even the neighbor's son
isn't there any sane person in this country, isn't there any mind who can do simple interpretation of religion and look at what they are doing to see that he is the sinner
He doesn't know evilness yet, nor goodness, only 16 years old, he is a kid, what does he know about crimes to be killed like this
God Curse you Iran

You've got a point there.

Date: 2008-03-13 07:57 pm (UTC)I meant that even if they say that this child is a criminal then it is not his mistake, a child is born pure and free of any evil and community begins to reflect on him, if they say he is a rapist then it is certainly not his fault it is the fault of the family and community.
so they punished a victim for no mistake he did! they punished him for their mistakes.

as for homosexuality there are lots of theories but no one is proved yet. some evidences about differences in size of some brain centers in homosexual brain was proved in a famous medical study yet no gene was identified till now, or it will be discovered latter
Also another study found that there is 33% increase in the chance of having homosexual kid with every preceding male brother whether raised together or not, this means that a third male son will have 99% of being homosexual; I am the third son in my family!
as I said the debate is still unclear but there is a direction towards one opinion that homosexuality is biological mainly and social elements can contribute in some cases, also it may be inherited
