Who killed whom first?

Tibetans randomly beat and killed Chinese solely on the basis of their ethnicity: a young motorcyclist bludgeoned in the head with paving stones and probably killed; a teenage boy in school uniform being dragged by a mob. When authorities did regroup, paramilitary troops fired live ammunition into the crowds. Witnesses did not see protesters armed with anything other than stones, bottles of gasoline or a few traditional Tibetan knives. (link)

Huh? No. While I agree that the Dalai Lama is not the peaceful apostle many people still think he is (because of media brainwashing), and that the Tibetans are not the humble peaceful people we think they are (which I wrote recently in an entry here)... the historical fact that Tibet was a damn backward feudal medieval place before it was invaded by China, is no excuse for China's way of handling things there. Don't get me wrong, I don't want any more separatist events taking place after Kosovo, but I also wanna see a modernized Tibet. Because, ultimately, poverty and misery is the root of all separatism/extremism/any-kind-of-ism. If those people get REALLY involved in building the Chinese nation, they might think twice before listening to any agents from outside who come to them with suitcases full of money and weapons, and tell them to kill the commies.
