The gay general + Politics and the Bible
Nov. 29th, 2007 08:42 pmA gay Brigadier General asks a question (video)
Later it turned out this General is in Hillary's camp. Dirty trick?
He said his appearance at the Republican debate wasn't related to his links to Hillary's camp. Coincidence?
Nevertheless, he apologized that these links were not revealed by CNN. How would they?
(While we're still on this...)
Now watching the Youtube-hosted presidential debate of the Republicans, i came across Question 19. Do you believe in every word in the Bible?
And I was wondering...
How is personal religious belief relevant to the functions of the President of the United States?
(US is STILL a secular country, no?) Am I missing something?
The answer is: very, to remain in office a direct line with God is necessary, constant consultion and frequent biblical quotes in various speeches... in addition, one preacher in Georgia can get a whole congregation of voters to vote one way, while a filthy little porn consuming abortion having pot smoking athetist is most likely too doped up to even get out and vote... Appeal to where the power is... and the power is in Jay-sus, can I get a hallelujuah?
/sarcasm

Date: 2007-11-30 11:07 am (UTC)The funniest thing is, if it was a stunt, then it backfired on Hillary. (Not that it'd matter a lot when counting the votes in the end, tho).
